DocPoint delights passers-by with an outdoor screening. The wall of Bio Rex becomes a silver screen for short documentaries for the whole evening. The evening begins with a compilation of dox@net films at 5–5:30 pm, after which short documentaries from the DocPoint programme are screened in a loop.
dox@net is a joint documentary film project by Finnish Film Foundation, Finnish Broadcasting Company and AVEK. dox@net includes 5 series, based on either provocative content and/or interesting cinematic form. Each series includes five short films with images of the “real” Finland: chicken and pigs, Mannerheim, summer activities of the power elite, war and the instructions of use for female genitalia. Directors involved include Susanna Kuparinen, Marika Väisänen, Iris Olsson, Arthur Franck and Katja Lautamatti.
Open press conference for the project is held at Vanha café at 2 pm.
