Saija Mäki-Nevala is MA in cinematography and she’s been working as a freelancer in different kind of film productions for over a decade. For her it is important to find artistically and technically right solutions for each film.

Kihniö is Mäki-Nevala’s first documentary direction. In the film she looks at her childhood village Kihniö through her lens with a mix of old love and newfound foreignness.
